The half they left out

The gospel you heard (Jesus’ blood washing away sins, giving eternal life) is real and biblical. It’s just not the whole story.
Before Jesus ever reached the cross, He was tied to a post and whipped. Isaiah saw it seven hundred years earlier, and Peter looked back on it and wrote it in the past tense: “by whose stripes ye were healed” (1 Peter 2:24).

The Gospel You’ve Been Taught
(It’s Not Wrong, Just Incomplete)
What you learned about salvation is true. I’m not taking that away. I’m adding what was left out.
The gospel you heard (Jesus’ blood washing away sins, giving eternal life) is real and biblical.
It’s just not the whole story.
First, Let’s Define the Word Stripes
This book is called YOU WERE HEALED because that is how Scripture speaks of your healing: in the past tense, purchased by the stripes on Jesus’ back. So before anything else, let’s define what a stripe is.
A “stripe” is the mark a whip leaves. It’s the cut, the welt, the raised and bleeding wound that a scourge tears into human flesh. When the Bible says “with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5), it is not using a figure of speech. It is talking about the literal wounds beaten into the body of Jesus at the whipping post before He ever reached the cross.

Samuel Waterhouse
Samuel Waterhouse is called to be an Apostle and Teacher of the Lord Jesus Christ, with a burning desire to help restore the church to the foundational truths of God's Word. Born in Tasmania, the son of a pastor, he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire in December 2018, and for months afterwards he read God's Word from morning to night.
He is the founder of The GIGAKJV Project, a modern English revision of the King James Bible.
Samuel also shares a testimony of healing from a 2022 call to The Kyle & Jackie O Show on KIIS 1065 Sydney. He describes it as Jesus demonstrating His supernatural power live on air to the show's listeners, greater than the spirits they planned to contact, and showing why the séance should not go ahead.
