Privacy policy
Last updated 28 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information this website, samwaterhouse.com (including the You Were Healed pages), and the sale of You Were Healed involve, and the choices you have. The site is run by Samuel Waterhouse (Australia), . To contact us about privacy, email .
What we collect
- When you buy on Amazon: you leave this website and purchase through Amazon. Amazon handles the payment and delivery under its own privacy policy. This website does not collect payment-card details or receive your Kindle purchase confirmation.
- The free sample: you can download it without giving us any personal information.
- If you email us: we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Forms on the ministry pages: if you invite Samuel to speak or sign up for ministry updates, what you type into the form (such as your name, email address, phone number and event details) is sent to our email inbox by Resend (resend.com), an email delivery service, which may also email you a copy to confirm it arrived. We use it to reply to you and, if you signed up for them, to send you ministry updates.
- Cookies and ad pixels, only if you accept them: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (Analytics and Ads) and TikTok may set cookies and collect your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view, and whether you viewed pages or downloaded the sample. These companies can collect information about your activity over time and across different websites, and they will be able to tell that you visited a site about a Christian book. If you decline, none of these tools are loaded.
Amazon buttons are ordinary links. This website does not embed Amazon checkout or load a direct-sale checkout script.
Why we use it
To answer your messages and speaking invitations and, only with your consent, to measure and improve our advertising. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising unless you accept cookies. We only send marketing emails, including ministry updates, if you have asked for them, and every one tells you how to unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can change your cookie choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline. We don’t respond to “Do Not Track” signals as such, because ad cookies are already off unless you accept them.
Who else receives it
Resend (for the ministry forms) and, if you accept cookies, Meta, Google and TikTok. These companies are based in, or store information in, the United States and other countries, so your information may be handled outside the country where you live. Each explains in its own privacy policy how it protects personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and other information only as long as needed for the purposes described above and applicable legal obligations. Amazon retains purchase records under its own policy.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it: for example under Australia’s Privacy Act 1988, New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020, United States state privacy laws such as California’s, and, for people in the UK and EU, the GDPR. To make a request, email . We will reply within 20 working days.
If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), New Zealand’s Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz), or the privacy regulator where you live.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
